Greensborough Netball Club 1 fell short against a tough Heat 2 side during the first round of Northern Football Netball League’s Summer Series on Friday night.
Boro stuck with the Heat side for much of the match, however, it was the scoreboard pressure that allowed Heat 2 to skip away and earn the four points.
The clash was a tough affair across the court as neither side found it easy to move the ball through each part of the court as hands over pressure and crucial errors keeping both sides in it.
In the end, Heat was better under the post.
Greensborough Netball Club 2 put up a strong fight against Kilmore 1 in the first round on Friday.
Kilmore were a taller side and capitalised on easy feeds into the circle from range.
As Boro began to fight back in the third quarter, a startled Kilmore put the foot down in the fourth and took it home.
Again, consistency under the post was the difference.
