Boro Bits – Round 14

Netball iStock largeBoro team one, division one update.

The Greensborough Division one netball team this year had a new coach as well as five new players. The first half of the season was really focused on getting to know each other and how we play, as well as our strengths and weaknesses on court. We have won five games and lost eight for the season. Our most recent win however, was 53-38 against Eltham! With a win this coming Friday against Fitzroy Stars, we are still in with a chance to make finals. Our team has really clicked lately so this would seem a fitting reward for all the hard work. Go Boro!!!

From the Preso, Nicole Doherty.

Boro Bits – Round 3

Team 5 VC AndreaRound 3 was a great improvement with three wins and two draws from the five matches played at RMIT Bundoora and Parade College on Friday 2nd May.

The Boro netball club’s focus over the next few weeks is to continue to build and work together in our teams and as a club as a whole and our results from last round have proved us to be on this path. To quote the NNL from an article published in 2012, ‘cream always rises to the top’, and that is our motto for this season.

Thanks to the Netball girls who attended the Greensborough Football Netball Club’s Ladies Day last Saturday. The day had a great turnout and was enjoyed by all. The Club has some exciting social events coming up with Mr Boro, the Annual Boro Ball and LinenHouse Day so check our website for dates and details.
