In a rapid game full of lead changes, excitement and hard hitting action, Greensborough Netball Club took home its first ever win 49-42 over Melbourne City Combat in tough first-up assignment in the Victorian Men’s and Mixed Association’s M-League.
With a host of new faces, GNC started right out of the blocks and was able to build a solid lead.
As the game settle, Comat hit back with some smart transition play, but GNC was able to adjust throughout.
With just a few goals between the clubs, GNC was able to extend its lead in the last quarter to take its first-ever M-League victory as the club enters the VMMNA competition for the first time.
